Intro
My initial plan was to run multiple virtualhosts under one global umbrella. But my virtualhosts have to do diverse things. One will front-end JBoss, another will front-end IBM WebSphere, etc. I thought or rather hoped that the differences could all be expressed in the separate virtualhosts sections. But I’ve been stopped dead in my tracks with JBoss when I tried that:
Syntax error on line 28 of /usr/local/apache2/conf/mod-jk.conf: JkWorkersFile cannot occur within section
Hmm. So JkWorkersFile has to appear in the global section. I’m not comfortable with that. I guess it’s time to consider running separate processes for my different classes of service. How best to do that?
